Weightloss Wednesdays #2 | Taking Baby Steps

Stats: Weight Lost: 2lbs

Before we start, I'd really like to apologise for the lack of stats. I haven't had the chance to get properly into an exercise regime with starting work, nor have I yet bought myself a pedometer. Ooops.

So, I've successfully completed my first week! I understand I'm not the only one taking part in this so for everyone else, I hope you've done the same! I'm going to use this post to talk you through the changes I've made this week and how I think they've helped. Of course this is a total lifestyle change so results can't be expected over night and it's much easier to ween your way into it for better results.

The first thing I tackled this week was my eating. I'm most definitely a boredom eater, so I set myself a plan. I made sure I only ate three meals a day, breakfast being between 6am and 9am, lunch being between 12pm and 2pm and dinner being between 5pm and 8pm. Snacks have also been allowed but only fresh, natural or organic products. I think my drinking habits can still be improved (I've still been drinking soda at work, oops!) but so far so good! I think this has been a really good start and I feel so much better for it.

I've also started looking at these motivational posts - the internet is rife with them! In time I'm going to create a corkboard of these in my room, hang up good ones and also hang up some before photos to keep myself going. It's important to stay on track and keep yourself and those others motivated to avoid going off and having to start all over again.

I guess with starting work you could say I'm moving a lot more. I tend to work shifts of around 6hrs (not including my break which is in the middle!) and I'm always on my feet for this. I've also even started wearing 2.5lb weights around each of my ankles. I got given these by my mother and they're supposed to help you tone up - we'll soon see!

I guess that sums up my changes. Hopefully next week I'll change something else slightly and I can let you know all about it. I don't get paid for another week so I won't have my new pedometer then either. All in good time!

If you're on a weightloss journey of your own I'd love to read about it. Leave links to your posts below!
