Nails - This Season's Pick

I apologise for the photos - these will be retaken soon

I know summer is sadly drawing to a close for us but this doesn't mean we can't still gush over our favourite summer shades and beauty picks, right? So on one of the last sunny Mondays the UK will see this year, I bring to you my summer nail shades of choice.

Oranges and corals have been very high on my list this year, and I'm usually the kind of gal that stays well clear of such daring and striking shades. One of my favourites this summer has been Revlon's Craving Coral, shade 902. Although the formula is a little watery for my liking and the brush is tiny and irritating, I found this so easy to wear and apply - opaque in still only two coats. Awesome, right?

In addition to daring shades as mentioned before, I added a twist to my collection of pastel greens and blues and fell in love with the Barry M Gelly Hi Shine Nail Paint in Greenberry. Unsure whether this shade is green or blue but love it all the same. Again, the tiny, fiddly brush is incredibly annoying but opacity is achieved in just 2 coats and I found that this really doesn't streak. If a thin bush is a million miles away from what you prefer I highly recommend you seek out and hunt down the Bourjois One Seconde Nail Varnish in Turquoise Bloc. A couple of pounds cheaper but still very easy on the pocket, a nice fanned brush and bright, opaque blue nails in just one coat. Parfait, non?

What nail lacquer shades have you been summer lovin' this season?

  1. I'm loving the gelly hi shines! I have a fascination with blue and green nail varnishes at the moment!
