If You Go Down To The Woods Today...

Okay I admit, for someone who "isn't that into Christmas" I definitely seem to be getting in the spirit this year, but when it looks as cute as this how can you resist?

This is yet another product I picked up whilst in Lincoln. I smelt Lush and made a beeline for the store by following my nose - it was like a Scooby Doo episode, minus the meddling kids! Whilst in there I came across this absolute cutie. Meet the Butterbear, from what I've noticed this is essentially their butterball of which I am a huge fan, in bear form.

Now, the Butterbear doesn't do anything incredibly exciting but the cocoa butter in it leaves your skin feeling absolutely ah-mazing. It's the kind of bath bomb you would use with a shed load of your favourite bubble bath and your favourite Netflix show, which is exactly what I did.

I haven't tried all of the Lush Christmas and Halloween stuff yet but I'm slowly getting there. In terms of bath treats and gifts this has to be my favourite time of the year - what's yours?

An Early Ode To Christmas...

First things first, please ignore my wallpaper... I've just moved into my kid sister's old room and redecorating is kind of on the back burner until I can afford to do something that isn't, well, half arsed.

A couple of weeks ago myself and a few friends headed to Lincoln to visit the lovely Emma at her place of study and, despite the weather, we had the absolute best time.

On the Saturday we visited an amazing cathedral, walked along a load of cobbles, ate lunch and drank Lincoln pale ale, scoured the back streets looking for cute galleries, tea rooms and shops that specialised in selling gem stones, and the markets.

It was on the markets I discovered this amazing soy wax candle from Kettler's Cottage Crafts and I fell in love instantly. It's made with essential oils and literally smells like everything you could possibly hope for in a Christmas candle - sweet orange, cinnamon, clove... and it's one of those delightful candles that smells insane even when it isn't lit.

They do so many other products including soaps, salves, body butters... all 100% natural and home made and I'd have purchased so much more had I not been on such a tight budget for the weekend. Just a heads up, the tea tree hand salve was absolutely to die for and is definitely next on my list to buy from there!

Kettler's Cottage Crafts appear at markets all over the place to I'd highly recommend keeping your eye out to see if they'll be visiting anywhere near you! And now I can happily get all excited for Christmas and all of the other goodies that come out this time of year... I've already tripped and fell into the Lush Christmas goodies twice and I'm counting down the days till I can bulk buy all of my favourite Yankee candle Christmas scents!

I'm Back!

Okay, so I guess I have some explaining to do. It seems that the last post I did was right back in June and we're now heading towards the end of October. Whoops. I promise I have valid enough reason. I think.

So, about a week after my last post on here my long term boyfriend and I parted ways. Queue the violins. I'm not sharing this for sympathy, but it was a pretty rough time and it took some getting over. As bad as this may sound, the last thing on my mind was blogging, although in hindsight it probably would have made me feel a little better. After this happened I threw myself into socialising with my friends that had returned from Uni for the summer and reconnecting with those I'd lost touch with.

In addition to that, I've moved house! I hated my job, my younger sister was growing up quicker than you could ever imagine and I never really got to see her so I made the decision to up and leave Manchester now that I didn't have anything holding me back. I've gotten myself a job in a care home and I'm going to be doing my NVQ in Health and Social Care alongside this and I'm very nearly settled into my new home. I honestly think it's the best decision I've ever made.

Getting back into the swing of blogging is going to take some getting used to but hopefully the blogisphere is as supportive as I remember! I'd love some ideas of what you'd like to see more of on the blog and after my big revamp I plan on being a little more adventurous with my content. I've missed it here!
